    Roses are Special this Week

This week from Monday, May 14 till Sunday, May 20 take 20% off on all our Roses. Be sure to take a good look at our Knockout Roses which come in Red, Pink and Yellow. Knockout Roses are very disease resistant, have large and frequent blooms and are one of the easiest Roses to grow and care for.

Also take at look at our amazing variety of hanging baskets and pre-planted window boxes. While they are not on sale, the colors are vibrant and they will keep on blooming for weeks to come. These are also easy to care for and will look great around the house or on your deck.

Finally take a walk to the side of the nursery to take a fast look at all the amazing herbs and organic and heirloom vegetables that are available. There are over 18 to 20 varieties of tomato plants that will be sure to please everyone.

Sales, Celebrations and a Relay for Life

This week at Gossett Brothers Nursery we have a lot going on. First our weekly special which runs from Monday, May 07 till Sunday, May 13. This week take 20% off our container Rhododendron shrubs. These shrubs have beautiful flowers and are starting to bloom and will do so for the next couple of weeks. We currently have Yaku Prince (pictured) which is a pink dwarf shrub, Roseum Elegans, which also has a pink flower and Chionoides, whose bloom is white. Rhododendrons like the shade, and are evergreen plants so they keep their leaves in the winter. The only bad thing about these shrubs is that they are deer candy, so be careful where you plant them or spray them regularly with some deer repellent

Gossett Brothers Nursery is supporting Relay for Life from the American Cancer Society. The local event takes place on June 22 at John Jay High School Contest Field. The dinner reception is at 5:30 pm. and the Survivor and Caregiver Lap is at 7:00 pm. You can pick up a sign up sheet at the Nursery and we are also selling Hope Bracelets for $3.00. You can also sign up for the event online by CLICKING HERE.

Finally, this Saturday, May 12 is our big big Plant and Bake Sale with the Lewisboro Garden Club. If you need some planting advice or just want to chat with some experienced gardeners then you should stop in this Saturday. The gang from the Lewisboro Garden Club will be on hand to sell and advise you on the perfect plants for your garden and home. Home made baked items and hot dogs will also be available and a part of all the proceeds goes to help the Lewisboro Garden Club. So support a great local cause, save some bucks and get great advice from gardeners whose passion for plants are second to none.
